The Institute is also a community development initiative, targeting cultural and other tourism potentials of Dodowa and its environs. This will help create job opportunities for the friendly and willing citizens in the town and neighbouring villages. We are particularly interested in assisting the women who face the brunt of the social and economic burden in these areas. Additionally, the activities of Noyam and its presence in the town are envisaged to help bring international focus to the needs of the communities in and around the area. This will help maintain a healthy environment and revamp these communities as well as provide artistic and other vocations for the citizens.
The complex when fully operational will have administrative offices, a Studio/Theatre, an Open Air Theatre and accommodation for guests, students and staff; library; documentation centre and a dining hall with kitchen facilities etc. At the moment, the studio and the administrative blocks are already in place.
